About the Role

Come and join the ABC's Business Affairs department, which comprises a team of expert rights and contract negotiators primarily based in Ultimo.

We are looking for a Business Affairs Coordinator to provide high level support to the Business Affairs team and contribute to the effective contracting and rights management of content across all ABC platforms, in particular acquired TV/streaming content purchased from third party suppliers.

Reporting to the Business Affairs Lead, Acquisitions, the role will include:

Managing data entry of rights in ABC Content, including TV and streaming. Contributing to the effective contracting of rights across ABC platforms including drafting contracts. Managing communications with internal and external stakeholders in a timely and confident manner and resolving contract and rights management issues. Providing administrative support to the Business Affairs team.

The Business Affairs team is dynamic and cohesive – providing a supportive environment in which to learn and enhance your skills.

About You

You'll be a self-motivated person with strong organisation skills, great attention to detail and who enjoys working in a collaborative, small team environment. You will also have good problem-solving capabilities, an ability to identify and find solutions combined with solid time management skills to achieve outcomes within the specified timelines.

You'll be able to demonstrate:

Experience in contract administration, preferably within a legal, acquisition/distribution or business affairs department. Proficiency with Microsoft Office including word and excel, and experience in data input into rights management databases. Ability to read, analyse, interpret, draft and negotiate standard licence agreements and experience with contract template management and systems. Aptitude to communicate effectively and foster positive relationships with people from a range of diverse backgrounds at all levels. Keen interest in television, streaming and public broadcasting.
