NORSTA Maritime Pty Ltd is an Australian-owned and controlled maritime enterprise, comprising of Norship Marine and Tropical Reef Shipyard, both recognised leaders in the Australian maritime industry. They boast a proven history of delivering maintenance and sustainment services to both Defence and Commercial clients.

About the Role

Norsta is seeking experienced Planned and Unplanned Maintenance Managers to lead and manage the maintenance and sustainment of its client's vessels. Driving strategic direction and ensuring the delivery of high-quality services to the community.

Responsibilities of the Position
  • Responsible for planning and preparation for the delivery of maintenance services incl:
  • Lead / participate in maintenance planning activities.
  • Deliver maintenance activities on schedule and budget.
  • Engagement of supply chain.
  • Management of Maintenance Availability (MA) schedule and activities.
  • Manage subcontractors and supplies, ensuring coordination of maintenance activities.
  • Analysis and reporting of maintenance data.
  • Ensure all evidence (OQE) and completion reports are received and captured in the Data Management System (DMS).
  • Continuous improvement initiatives.
Skills and Experience required
  • At least 10 years' experience as a Project Manager in the maritime industry is preferred.
  • Attention to detail, analytical skills and problem-solving techniques.
  • Proven ability to lead, build and foster a team orientated environment.
  • Experience in complex maritime maintenance management.
  • Experience in Defence statutory compliance is preferred.
  • High level of analytical and reporting skills, along with excellent written and presentation skills.
  • High level of stakeholder management skills, with excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Proven ability to work independently and demonstrate good organisational, multi-tasking and time management skills.
  • Ability to plan, organise and delegate effectively.
