POSITION OVERVIEW
The role of a Project Coordinator is crucial, serving as the primary link among different stakeholders. Strong communication, negotiation, and stakeholder management skills are essential, along with a focus on fostering collaborative relationships for project success. The Project Coordinator acts as both a troubleshooter and a proactive advocate for continuous improvement, utilizing innovative solutions and technology to boost project efficiency.

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Develop comprehensive programs and plans for work areas, ensuring optimal resource use and adherence to project timelines.
  • Implement and oversee quality assurance measures to maintain construction standards and deliver high-quality project outcomes.
  • Resolve design issues during construction to uphold project momentum and quality.
  • Handle procurement processes, including sourcing materials, negotiating contracts, and ensuring cost-effectiveness.
  • Provide financial oversight, track project expenditures, and generate accurate cost reports for effective budget management.
  • Ensure strict compliance with safety, environmental, and regulatory standards throughout all project phases.
  • Manage trade packages, coordinate subcontractor activities for seamless collaboration and project advancement.
  • Collaborate with design teams to develop comprehensive design packages aligned with project goals.
  • Implement time management strategies to optimize project schedules and meet milestones.
  • Utilize financial software for budgeting, forecasting, and financial analysis.
  • Establish efficient document management systems for organizing and tracking project documentation.
  • Strategically allocate resources to optimize project efficiency.
  • Address construction-related challenges with analytical thinking and creative solutions.
  • Integrate The Hickory Way principles into project management practices.
  • Provide regular project reports to stakeholders to offer insight into progress and future plans.

REQUIREMENTS

  • Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Engineering, Architecture, Project Management, or equivalent.
  • Minimum of 5 years' hands-on experience in commercial construction.
  • Understanding of construction methodologies, project implementation practicalities, and stakeholder management.
  • Proven ability to build strong relationships with stakeholders and prioritize tasks effectively.
