The Opportunity


We are looking for an energetic, proactive, and passionate Recruitment & HR Adviser to join our team, to contribute to a variety Human Resource projects for 2023 and beyond.


This is a fantastic opportunity for an experienced Recruitment / HR Adviser seeking to broaden their skills and knowledge and work within a team environment that provides a high level of autonomy and encourages out of the box thinking to deliver results.

The Recruitment & HR Adviser reports directly to the HR Director - APAC.

This role is a key support role within the Human Resources Team for Asia Pacific and at a high level is responsible for leading recruitment activities across the PHI Aviation APAC business, including talent mobility and immigration.

This role will also provide support to the Senior HR Business Partner Operations through partnering with the business leaders and employees to respond to general HR policy, procedures and processes queries from business leaders and employees, first level ER matters (performance concerns, minor grievances).


Key responsibilities and deliverables for this role include:

Recruitment

  • Responsibility for reviewing and maintaining the Applicant Tracking System to ensure the system is meeting business needs, supporting efficiency and aligned to PHI business process.
  • Design, develop and review tools and resources to ensure effective recruitment and selection outcomes (job advertising templates, selection tools such as interview guides and psychometric assessments).
  • Manage the selection and continued performance on suppliers such as recruitment agencies and other relevant vendors.
  • Provide ongoing education and support to Hiring Managers to ensure best practice and equitable recruitment and selection outcomes.
  • Lead business workforce planning throughout the year and ensure regular review in consultation with finance, HR Business Partner Operations.
  • Reporting on recruitment metrics to track and review effectiveness of recruitment activities and strategies (diversity in talent attraction, time to hire, quality of hire, cost of hire).

Talent Mobilisation & Immigration

  • Partner with Global HR contact and business leaders within PHI to explore and action international talent mobility opportunities that supports business objectives and talent development.
  • Develop supporting processes, documents and registers to ensure compliance and manage business risk associated with global talent mobility and immigration.

General HR

  • Development and review of HR policies and procedures as guided by the HR Director and Senior HR Business Partner Operations.
  • Provide advice on HR Policy and Procedure queries from leaders.
  • Provide support to HR team with various HR projects as directed.
  • Supporting leaders with managing performance matters/ concerns
  • Lead low level investigations and case management (minor employee disputes/ grievances, minor breaches of company policy and procedures).


As a HR professional, you bring prior experience of working in a corporate environment as well as a demonstratable understanding of HR administrative activities and processes.


To be successful you will have:

Essential skills, experience, and knowledge:

  • Demonstrated experience working within HR in a similar role.
  • Sound understanding of the employee lifecycle.
  • Excellent interpersonal, communication skills, time management, priorisation and organisational skills.
  • Experience working with Australian Employment Legislation, Awards and Enterprise Agreements.
  • Intermediate/ Advanced MS Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
  • Strong ability to problem solve, build relationships and find fit for purpose solutions.

Desirable skills, experience, and knowledge**:

  • Business/ HR qualification
  • Previous experience working with New Zealand and/ or Philippines employment legislation or working for a multinational company.
  • Experience using Phoenix Recruitment System, DataCom, SharePoint, Visio and Workday
