Job Description

We are looking for an HR Consultant with a minimum of 3-4 years of experience in a generalist HR role. This position, requiring 0.4 FTE, might be a good fit for someone coming back from maternity leave or seeking a better work/life balance by transitioning into a part-time role.

Responsibilities:

  • Office Culture and Employee Engagement
    • Seek feedback and act as a trusted advisor on employee experience.
    • Support legal assistants with process and interpersonal issues.
    • Support diversity and inclusion events.
    • Enhance office connections through health and wellbeing activities, relationship building, and collaboration.
  • Employee Relations
    • Advise staff and Partners on conflict resolution.
    • Support individuals facing work environment challenges.
    • Mediate interpersonal issues to find solutions beneficial for all parties.
  • Recruitment
    • Oversee office recruitment.
    • Explore recruitment of graduates for the Perth office.
    • Manage onboarding for new hires.
    • Provide resourcing support to Partners/managers.

Requirements:

  • Desirable HR tertiary qualification.
  • Minimum of 4 years' generalist HR experience, preferably in professional services.
  • Sound knowledge of current HR practices.
  • Proficient in handling employee relations matters.
  • Ability to build relationships across all levels quickly.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Proven project management skills and meeting deadlines.
  • High level of confidentiality.

This role offers an excellent chance to showcase your relationship building abilities and engage with all Perth office employees independently, yet with support from the broader HR team.
