Company Background
Consep Pty Ltd is an Australian owned and managed company exporting mineral processing equipment to a world market. We are the current Australian Exporter of the Year (Minerals). Part of our expansion strategy is to have regional territory managers based in our Australian offices.

Consep has been an exporter of mineral processing equipment to Russia and Kazakhstan for over 20 years. In these markets we have a local representative who provides local support to our existing clients.

Consep is looking to expand our team to provide greater support to our agent and our clients in the region.

While at present we have ceased activities in Russia, Kazahkstan remains one of our biggest active export markets, with significant sales in the last 5 years.

There are also significant new sales opportunities in other Russian language CIS countries.

Qualifications, experience & skills

  • Bilingual English and Russian language skills (not mandatory but preferred)
  • CIS (Commonwealth of Independent States) market experience
  • Relevant bachelor or higher qualification or
  • 5+ years of work experience in the mining industry and with mineral processing equipment

Technical Sales Representative

The expected duties and responsibilities are as follows:

  • Supporting existing clients, both with technical information and with proposals as required
  • Compiling lists of prospective client businesses using directories and other sources
  • Acquiring and updating knowledge of employers' and competitors' goods and services, and market conditions
  • Visiting regular and prospective client businesses to establish and act on selling opportunities.
  • Assessing customers' needs and recommending and explaining goods and services to them.
  • Monitoring customers' changing needs and competitor activity and reporting these developments to sales management.
  • Quoting and negotiating prices and credit terms, and completing contracts and recording orders
  • Providing or management of commissioning services for new equipment installations
  • Reporting to sales management on sales made and the marketability of goods and services.
- following up with clients to ensure satisfaction with goods and services purchased and resolving any problems arising.
- preparing sales reports and maintaining and submitting records of business expenses incurred


Travel is part of the role, and while the role would prioritise the CIS region, travel is likely to include minerals processing plants and conferences in locations all over the world.


Salary - Attractive package plus super
