Our Streets & Centres team are currently on the lookout for an experienced and dedicated a Project Officer to contribute to the successful delivery of quality project outcomes for cities revitalisation and place initiatives and provide strategic and operational support, including the planning and delivery of grant programs, project initiatives, governance and risk management, reporting, issue tracking, quality control and post project analysis and reporting.


This role is integral in supporting the effective delivery and administration of Streets and Centres grant programs, ensuring grant program delivery and administration is aligned to best practice, achieves Departmental and government objectives and meets the needs of NSW communities.

The role will also support complex collaborative strategies for the NSW Government to achieve quality walkable public spaces and places.


About You


You will join a committed, collaborative and creative team where your high-level project management and coordination skills will see you undertake special projects including grant administration, partnership projects, research, data collection, stakeholder mapping, policy advice, collation of information, drafting project plans and coordinating delivery of project streams to assist the Manager, Senior Manager and Director, and other Leadership Team members.

An understanding of, or experience in, grant administration is key to this role.

This is an exciting opportunity to be a key contributor in supporting the planning and delivery of complex projects in placemaking, urban renewal, urban and regional planning or management of public spaces

Essential Requirement

  • A tertiary qualification or equivalent experience in project management, community engagement, urban planning, urban design or a related field, or equivalent experience.
