In this role, you'll:

be a key contributor to a high performing team within our Safety Environment and Regulation Division. Transport for NSW is undertaking a program of work (RAISI) to migrate multiple road asset and maintenance systems in to one central solution. A key focus of the Finance Business Process and Data Subject Matter Expert will be to execute the migration of road asset and maintenance data from multiple legacy systems into SAP modules, which relate to management accounting, general ledger accounting, fixed asset accounting , work order and projects costing.

You will ensure the successful consolidation and reconciliation of fixed asset information and attributes by sub-asset class to enable a complete and accurate financial valuation of each fixed asset class and support the data migration activities of the SAP management and cost accounting related master data objects.

This is a complex and transformative project - career defining. You will be future proofing the way in which Transport for NSW manages and values our road asset portfolio, for years to come.

The position is a Fixed Term Full Time contract until the 31/01/2026 and is based at Macquarie Park with Hybrid work arrangements (2-3 days a week in the office) but could extend up to 5 days a week to meet project timelines.

About you

You are a Financial Data Analyst who has extensive experience working in technical data analysis and the use of specialist data migration tools including the creation of data anomaly reports and data migration status dashboards. You will be highly proficient and experienced in using MS Excel and MS Access at scale.

Experience working with fixed assets and work order and project accounting modules within SAP is essential.

You will have previously worked on similar projects in accounting and capitalisation of fixed assets in a large complex organisation. You will be a strong and confident communicator, as this role requires you liaise with both internal and external stakeholders to drive timely and accurate data migration outcomes.
