My client is a leading IT consultant renowned for its expertise in providing cutting-edge technology solutions as an IT Reseller who engages vendors directly to complete new contracts in the defence space. They are currently seeking a Senior Defence Account Executive to join their team.

The right candidate will have a strong commitment to innovation with an attitude of prioritising customer satisfaction above all else.

Overview:
The ideal candidate will play a pivotal role in driving sales growth within the defence sector, leveraging your extensive experience and industry knowledge to forge strong relationships with key stakeholders to massage and develop new and existing accounts.

Responsibilities:

  • Cultivate and nurture relationships with decision-makers within defence organisations, identifying opportunities for collaboration and partnership.
  • Strategically position our client's products and services to meet the evolving needs and challenges of defence clients.
  • Collaborate closely with internal teams to develop customised IT solutions that address specific requirements.
  • Lead sales presentations and negotiations, ensuring alignment with client objectives and expectations.
  • Stay abreast of industry trends, competitive offerings, and regulatory changes impacting the defence sector.

Qualifications:

  • Proven track record servicing large contracts within the corporate or defence sector.
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in IT sales, with a focus on defence organisations.
  • Proven track record of meeting and exceeding sales targets in a competitive environment.
  • Deep understanding of defence industry procurement processes, regulations, and trends.
  • Exceptional communication, presentation, and negotiation skills.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment.
  • Security clearance (preferred).
