About the role
A great opportunity is available for a People Operations Adviser to join our People & Culture Team. The position reports directly to the Senior Manager, Functional Business Partnering & People Operations.

The People Operations Adviser is responsible for delivering advice and guidance to leaders & employees across Santos, ensuring they manage and develop their teams in accordance with policy and practice.

The People Operations Adviser in consultation with the business will be responsible for:

  • Delivering the advisory service across the organisation and the full employee life-cycle with a customer focused mindset
  • Providing facetoface coaching as required to leaders to resolve issues raised
  • Responding to queries by encouraging leaders/ employees to access selfservice support
  • Resolving queries using their own judgement until issue is resolved
  • Sourcing tools, guides and information to support leader/ employee's query
  • Reporting, data analysis and insights
  • Using systems such as SuccessFactors to support decision making and key workflows
  • Escalating queries to specialized capability owners as required
  • Building your own expertise across the generalist areas of HR
  • Promoting a specialised area of capability with the Advisory team and support the generalist team when that capability is required i.e. IR/ Facilitation/ Program Management etc
  • Providing leaders advice on progressive HR practices and key trends
  • Operationalisation of initiatives from the HR Centres of Excellence

About you
You are someone who loves problem solving, working with people and drawing insights from data. Your perfect environment is fast paced where no two days are the same.

You ideally hold a tertiary qualification in Human Resources or Psychology and bring previous experience in a customer facing, HR service orientated role.

To be successful in this role you will need to display a strong attention to detail, analytical skills and an ability to meet competing deadlines combined with managing multiple tasks and priorities.


This role will give you exposure to all areas of the organisation, with an ability to influence outcomes whilst building the capability of our leaders and people.
