Join a dynamic FMCG business located in the heart of Sydney's CBD. They pride themselves on delivering quality products and exceptional service. We are seeking a dedicated part-time Accountant to join our team, ideally suited for someone balancing childcare commitments or approaching the end of their career and looking for part-time work.

Key Responsibilities

Month-End Tasks

  • Prepare and review basic financial statements
  • Conduct Inventory Reports and Stock In Transit Reports
  • Compile Debtors and Creditors Reports, including GL Reconciliations
  • Perform other month-end tasks, such as:
    • Passing Journals
    • Accruals
    • Depreciation and Fixed Asset Management
    • BAS Preparation

Transaction Management

  • Enter transactions from bank statements and perform Bank Reconciliation
  • Enter invoices and credit notes into the accounting system
  • Prepare weekly payment schedules for creditors
  • Prepare Aging Reports on a weekly and fortnightly basis for debtors
  • Enter customer payments and track customer claims

Other Tasks

  • Conduct intercompany reconciliations
  • Enter employee expenses

Qualifications

  • Proven experience in accounting, preferably in the FMCG sector
  • Strong understanding of accounting principles and practices
  • Proficiency in accounting software (experience with BC is advantageous)
  • Excellent organizational and time-management skills
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy
  • Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks efficiently
