One of the government departments is seeking a Cyber Security Content Writer to research, develop, review and publish cyber security advice and content for businesses and individuals.

The contractor will undertake research to write accurate cyber security guidance, tailored to the audience.

They will work within a team in direct support of Program objectives and contribute to team level publication deliverables that supports overall mission.


Responsibilities:

  • Review and publish content including but not limited to publications, web content, social media posts, eLearning materials and other interactive tools.
  • Liaise with internal and external stakeholders regarding technical consultation, design and publishing, as well as promotion of content through campaigns or other initiatives.
  • Provide support to enterprise tasks, sometimes urgent or ad hoc, such as section governance, briefing and clearances, requests from senior executives, and parliamentary reporting requirements.

Essential experience:***- Sound understanding of principles and guidelines in Information Security frameworks and cyber threat mitigation strategies.

  • Strong research, written and communication skills, with an emphasis on technical writing ability and content editing.
  • Conduct research tasks to develop mitigation advice that is both technically accurate and suitable for the intended audience.
  • Review and publish content that is consistent with department messaging and the Government's Style Manual, including but not limited to publications, web content, social media posts, eLearning materials and other interactive tools.
