ROLE POSITIONING AND OBJECTIVES


At BAT, our Warehouse & Transport Ops Manager plays an important role in overseeing the day-to-day operations of warehousing, fulfilment, inventory management and distribution services managed by our third-party logistics partners.


WHAT YOU WILL BE ACCOUNTABLE FOR

  • Manage stock receipts in coordination with Singapore Planning Hub and BATA Planning team, and external parties including the 3PL provider and Customs Clearance and Cartage provider such that supply is maintained to cover customer demands, stock on hand targets are met and cash flow is not adversely impacted.
  • Ensure that all activities executed by the Third-Party Logistics warehouse provider are compliant with the BAT stock and inventory policy ensuring physical and system count verification.
  • Ensuring all forecast to Stock and Inventory Management SOx compliance controls are completed as per agreed schedules.
  • Perform End market SOx Operating Effectiveness Testing in accordance with communicated schedule to meet business objectives.
  • Coordinate and supervise pending investigations regarding stock discrepancies within the warehouse. Manage stock distribution across warehouses as per "First Expired First Out" principle and drive reduction in inventory write offs due to aged stock whilst also ensuring cost efficiency.
  • Manage logistics relevant activities for the implementation of New Product Introductions to ensure stock availability in warehouses at specified dates to meet Marketing launch objectives. Responsible for ensuring the SKU setup by the 3PL as per Marketing launch plans. Manage the transition in/ transition out activities for replacement SKU with 3PL, NSC, Planning team and GS
  • Oversee endtoend fulfillment process execution incl. inbound, outbound, and reverse logistics. Support trade team with strategy execution in order deliver commercial objectives. Drive continuous improvement projects/initiatives in the warehouse space to unlock operational efficiencies.
  • Maintain all records in such a way that any ad hoc or planned internal and external audits or queries from Australian Border Force or Customs are dealt with in a timely and accurate manner.
  • Perform regular warehouse reviews and audits of saleable and nonsaleable stocks, warehouse conditions and other relevant items in accordance with BATA Stock Management policy. Perform SAP testing for the logistics function as per company schedule.
  • Support, coach and develop team members within the inventory/logistics team to deliver BAU as well as drive professional development.

CRUCIAL EXPERIENCE, SKILLS AND KNOWLEDGE

  • A tertiary degree in a field such as Marketing, Business, & Commercial.
  • At least 5 years of experience in supply chain (warehouse & 3PL management)
  • Advanced knowledge in stock and inventory management in accordance with Sox compliance.
  • SAP system experience in required.
  • Experience in the FMCG industry is desirable.
