Director of Clinical Training (Including Workplace Based Assessment Clinical Lead Portfolio)

Support and train outstanding pre-vocational doctors at Caboolture Hospital consistent with relevant National and State Standards, Regulations and Guidelines. This includes employees, secondees and honorary pre-vocational doctors.

The part time role is to support and train outstanding pre-vocational doctors at Caboolture Hospital consistent with relevant National and State Standards, Regulations and Guidelines.

The DCT and DDCT work collaboratively with Medical Education Officers, the DMS, DDMS, Manager of the Medical Workforce Unit and Clinical Supervisors to ensure that prevocational medical officers are provided with a high standard of orientation, supervision, teaching, assessment, feedback, mentoring and evaluation in each clinical unit.

About youOur ideal candidate will be someone who can carry out the following key accountabilities in accordance with the Metro North Health's values:

Leadership and Management of Pre-vocational Medical EducationOversee the pre-vocational medical education program including support to pre-vocational doctors and their supervisors to achieve all requirements of the programEnsure the candidates receive appropriate orientation and are allocated primary and secondary supervisors to monitor progress of candidates.

Participate in Continuing Professional Development activities as required by the Medical Board and the relevant specialist colleges.
