As the Clinical Director you will be working within a large team of Clinical Directors across Caboolture, Kilcoy and Woodford Directorate.
The role presents the opportunity for an individual to lead and influence the expanding services in the newly commissioned Minor Injuries and Illness Clinics in addition to the established Kilcoy Hospital and Woodford Corrections Health Service.
You will be supported operationally by the Medical Director, Service Line Emergency, Kilcoy and Woodford; and professionally by the Director of Medical Services CKW.
As Clinical Director you will lead medical services that are delivered by specialist Rural Generalists and specialist General Practitioners working across Urgent Care, Rural Ward and Prisoner health environments.
There is an opportunity to build a primary care training program across these settings over the short term as part of the development of a self-sustaining experience, training & education and clinical service model.
About you Our ideal candidate will be someone who can carry out the following key accountabilities in accordance with the Metro North Health's values: Provide expert leadership in the delivery of medical care at Kilcoy Hospital, Woodford Corrections Health Service and Minor Injury and Illness Centres within Caboolture and Bribie Island Satellite Hospitals.
Draw upon professional experience and knowledge of Emergency Medicine, Urgent Care and Rural and Remote Care to lead service delivery within a robust model of care.
Provide reports on clinical audit, quality improvements and related activities to the Director Medical Services and Clinical Support Services in a regular and timely fashion.
Participate in and maintain an effective and accurate clinical record system to enable continuity of care for patients and regular evaluation of treatment processes.
Demonstrate personal leadership and a commitment to continuing professional development by organising, teaching and attending relevant seminars and conferences to maintain up to date knowledge and practices and to maintain up to date College mandated requirements.
