Your Key Responsibilities:

  • Ensure Compliance: Adhere to Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA) policies and guidelines for nursing practices.
  • Supervision: Oversee staff to deliver high-quality, individualised care to residents.
  • Team Collaboration: Act as a role model, effectively working in a multidisciplinary team, prioritising resident-focused care, and promptly addressing any concerns with the Facility Manager.
  • Support: Assist staff with assessments, treatment, documentation, and activities as needed.
  • Operational Management: Maintain smooth clinical operations to meet resident care requirements and uphold standards.
  • Leadership: Provide clinical leadership and support, ensuring care delivery aligns with standards and roles.
  • Management Coverage: Cover for the General Manager during their absence.

Your skills and experience:

  • Experience: Minimum 3 years of Clinical Care Management experience within Aged Care, and five years in a senior clinical role.
  • Skills: Proven management skills, team leadership, and a strong working knowledge of continuous improvement.
  • Standards Knowledge: Familiarity with Personal Care and Resident Lifestyle requirements in the Aged Care Quality Standards.
  • Clinical Expertise: Excellent clinical skills and significant aged care experience.
  • Leadership: Demonstrated leadership qualities and a passion for making a difference.
  • Legislation Knowledge: Strong understanding of relevant legislation and policies.
  • Communication: Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills (written and verbal).
  • Tech Savvy: Computer literacy and a multidisciplinary approach to clinical practice.
