As a
Networks Analyst you will be required to analyse strategies and tactics around capacity allocation to routes in complex markets, new routes, routes exits, support process reviews, budgets, fleet growth/reduction business cases and generally any analysis that would affect the short, medium or long term allocation of aircraft to domestic routes.


Your main responsibility will be to ensure top quality analyses giving the right information at the right level of detail at the right time.

You will achieve this by balancing robustness, accuracy and flexibility in each of the analyses and by proactively managing prioritisation and workload.


Key accountabilities will include:

  • Support management of capacity settings to maximise profit, measuring decisions alignment with long term strategic objectives
  • Help implement and measure network initiatives that will deliver profit growth each year
  • Engage commercial and operational areas to provide inputs and collide them to provide holistic analysis to guide decision making
  • When needed, incorporate stakeholder areas economic and strategic rationale in business case analyses (airport charges, government grants, etc.)
  • Collaborate with airline partners and holding group airlines (e.g. Qantas) when required.
  • Analyse seasonal capacity variations using complex historical and forward modelling to predict demand trends and profit opportunity
  • Up to date in most effective modelling techniques, ensuring models as are nimble as possible (right accuracy, size, flexibility, sensitivity, speed, etc.).
  • Use and build shortcuts and templates for recurrent activities to ensure efficient time spent
  • Use creativity to drive efficiencies and new ways to model and solve problems

To be successful in this role you will demonstrate the following skills & experience:

  • Degree in business or finance or commerce or statistics or data analytics highly preferred
  • Proven ability to interact with multiples sources of data, build complex quantitative connections and extract relevant insights to inform hypothesis and recommendations.
  • Proven ability to also consider diverse qualitative and strategic inputs to make top quality decisions
  • Ability to communicate effectively and comfortable thriving in a highpressure environment
  • Resilient, capable of effectively work in a dynamic business with evolving challenges and priorities
  • Proven ability to constantly challenging self and others to do things better
