The Data Analyst role is a key position within our data office, playing a crucial part in our enterprise-wide data uplift program. As a Data Analyst, you will work closely with end-users, Product Owners, business owners, and the DevSecOps squad to ensure business requirements are understood. Your responsibilities will include:

  • Collecting and analyzing data to support technical requirements
  • Creating specifications and acceptance criteria for technology systems
  • Providing high-level evaluations of requirements for technology programs and projects, including process re-engineering, cost-benefit analysis, and recommended solutions
  • Engaging with the business to prepare User Acceptance Testing
  • Developing documentation that accurately reflects current functionality, operating procedures, and processes

Key Competencies

This role requires:

  • Tertiary qualification in computer science, information technology, business systems, or a relevant field, or equivalent significant practical experience
  • Effective gathering and management of technical business requirements
  • Broad knowledge of cloud data systems and products, with experience in delivering data projects (exposure to PowerBI, Redshift, Databricks, AWS & Azure DevOps is a plus)
  • Certification of Competency in Business Analysis (CCBA), Certified Business Analysis Professional (CBAP), PMI Professional in Business Analysis (PMI-PBA), or equivalent
  • Great written and verbal communication skills, with proven success in communicating complex analysis across all levels within a business
  • Exposure to DevSecOps delivery/environments
