The new PFS offers high-quality, safe, and value-based fertility services for all eligible Victorians including people who are single, Aboriginal, LGBTIQ+, living with a disability, from culturally and linguistically diverse communities, from regional and rural communities and/or living on low incomes.
Building on decades of leadership in fertility care the PFS offers a full range of integrated services including:- Fertility assessment and management, including consultations, fertility investigations, ovulation monitoring/tracking and ovulation induction
- Assisted reproductive treatments, as well as counselling, information and support
- A publicly run fertility preservation program so people with cancer or other health issues can have their tissue stored and retrieved for future us
Your contribution
As our Clinical Nurse Consultant for the Donor and Surrogacy Service (DSS) you will be responsible for managing and coordinating all aspects of the Women's DSS.
Work both independently and within a multidisciplinary team you will triage coordinated specialised clinical care and support to patients and their families who are using our donor and/or surrogacy services.
You will lead the DSS team to met all requirements of the RTAC Code of Practice and other ART and fertility legislations and guidelines, all the while role modelling the values of The Women'sYour duties will include (but are not limited to) the following
- Ensuring all donor and surrogacy services meet relevant legislation and guidelines and are aligned to The Women's vision and values
- Promoting and encouraging multidisciplinary teamwork and collaboration to ensure consistent and timely care for the patients and their families
- Developing, refining and updating protocols, policies, procedures and guidelines as required in accordance with best practice and professional bodies guidelines
About you
To be successful within this role you will need to have:
- Current registration with APHRA as a Division 1 Nurse
- A sound understanding of RTAC Code of Practice and other ART and fertility nursing legislations and guidelines.
- Commitment to working as part of a multidisciplinary fertility unit that offers exceptional experiences to patients in a public hospital.

COVID-19 Vaccination Requirement
Please be aware that in line with the Health Minister's Covid-19 Mandatory Vaccination Order, all workers at the Women's regardless of role, will be required to be fully vaccinated (3 doses) for COVID-19 or hold an acceptable medical exemption.
Influenza Vaccination Requirement
In line with the Health Services Amendment (Mandatory Vaccination of Healthcare Workers) Act 2020, some health care workers are now required to have their flu vaccination to work in health care.
As this role fits into category A or B of the departments risk ratings, applicants will be required to have been vaccinated against influenza.
All applicants will be required to provide acceptable evidence of their vaccination status.
