• Exciting opportunity to join Orygen's Forensic Youth Mental Health Service (FYMHS) in a role with the Children's Court Mental Health Advice & Response Service (CCMHARS)

• Part Time permanent multidisciplinary role | OT3, SW3, P3 and RPN4

• Based at Parkville (CBD + other locations).

Orygen Specialist Program (OSP), a program of Melbourne Health, provides specialist mental health services for young people aged 15 to 25 and focuses on providing early intervention to young people with severe and complex mental illness. OSP also works alongside Orygen, the National Centre of Excellence in Youth Mental Health which operates four primary mental health care headspace services in the catchment area.

Your New Role:

This is a Senior Clinician role that sits as part of the Community Forensic Youth Mental Health Service (FYMHS) and is a wonderful opportunity to develop your skills and knowledge particularly around the court system and Youth Forensic Mental Health. The CCMHARS clinician provides mental health assessments and/or secondary consultation for young people appearing before either the Criminal or Family (Secure Welfare or IVO only) Divisions of the Children's Court of Victoria.

About You:

Minimum 5 years' experience in the application of clinical practice in the mental health field and in particular, with young people experiencing mental health disorders. Experience in tertiary mental health preferred. Relevant registration and qualifications (see position description for details) An advanced level of skill in clinical MH assessment (including risk), diagnostic formulation and treatment interventions for young people presenting with both forensic issues and mental health disorders. A thorough understanding of the current mental health sector and service provision options available for this vulnerable and complex cohort. Strong and well developed consultation, leadership and advocacy skills.
