The Role:

Reporting to the Executive Manager Accommodation Services, the NDIS Housing Development Manager (VICTORIA) is responsible for the management of vacancies across existing accommodation services as well as and establishing existing new accommodation services sites in partnership with external SDA and non-SDA providers.

This will include the identification, assessment, selection and transition of NDIS participants into new and current vacancy housing options.

Reporting to the Executive Manager, and with one direct report (Project Officer) you will:

  • Develop and implement a Supported Living Options Services Growth Plan including collaborating with SDA providers and other significant stakeholders.
  • Provide continuous improvement methodology on governance and leadership strategies
  • Identify, analyse and support the transition of NDIS participants into vacant SLO service options
  • Undertake key stakeholder engagement with NDIS area coordinators, planners, allied health professionals and family services representatives
  • Establish emergency and shortterm accommodation service plans
  • Establish clear service delivery expectations for reporting and adherence to business policy and procedures
  • Collaborate with relevant managers and coordinators on the operational efficiency and continuous improvement of existing & future SLO/SDA services

You'll be driven and passionate about building capability within your team

In addition, you possess:

  • Tertiary Qualification in disability or other appropriate tertiary qualification relevant to working in the Disability/NDIS Sector
  • Significant experience and knowledge of NDIS and Specialist Disability Accommodation
  • Experience in accommodation services in Disability/NDIS sector
  • Significant experience in a leadership position within a community services organisation
  • Experience in working collaboratively with key stakeholders
