The Opportunity


We have an exciting opportunity in the New Year for a value-driven individual keen to work in a leading Community Housing Organisation in Victoria.


Reporting to the Housing Services Team Leader, the Housing Allocations Coordinator is critical in attending to complex inquiries and undertaking varied critical tasks that support the wider Victorian Housing Team.

The role also has an administration component that includes coverage of the front desk.


Key to your success will be your ability to deliver key performance measures related to tenancy management, regulatory performance standards, NRAS compliance and internal key performance measures.

Well-developed communication and interpersonal skills both written and verbal including the ability to effectively consult, negotiate and influence across a range of stakeholder groups (internal and external) is essential.

The position is a full-time ongoing role based in Melbourne. Flexible work arrangements are available.

Skills and Experiences:

About You:

  • Experience in a customer service role and preferable working with clients from disadvantaged backgrounds
  • Conceptual, analytical and problemsolving skills
  • Experience in producing basic to intermediate excel reports
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite with an emphasis on MS Excel
  • Ability to display sensitivity, discretion and diplomacy in interaction with others
  • Welldeveloped written, oral communication and relationship management skills
  • Strong attention to detail

Desirable:

  • Experience in dealing with complex customer needs
  • Sound knowledge of working within the community housing sector
  • Experience with the Victorian Housing Register and HiiP
  • Ability to complete complex Excel data reports
  • Experience and knowledge of the social housing sector in Victoria
  • Knowledge of the income support system for people on very low incomes
