Join our team as the Asset Protection Risk and Compliance Coordinator at The Star Brisbane.

The Star Brisbane is set to become Australia's newest entertainment and leisure hub at the heart of the vibrant Queen's Wharf Brisbane precinct. Opening in stages from 2024, it will offer a variety of entertainment options, top-notch hotels, exquisite dining venues, trendy bars, high-end retail stores, gaming facilities, and a cutting-edge Event Centre, redefining leisure and social experiences in the city by the river.

The role of Asset Protection Risk and Compliance Coordinator, reporting to the Asset Protection Risk and Compliance Manager, presents a unique chance to demonstrate your expertise. In this position, you will support the implementation of the risk function by establishing processes, tools, and systems to identify, evaluate, and monitor security risks.

Key Responsibilities

  • Support Security Risk Assessments for Major Events and as needed by the Security Planning Manager
  • Assist in creating risk management policies and procedures
  • Complete mandatory weekly and monthly compliance checklists
  • Represent Security management at WHS Committee meetings, offering comprehensive reports and feedback
  • Conduct internal audits as requested by the Asset Protection Risk & Compliance Manager

Qualifications

  • Certificate IV in Workplace Training and Assessment preferred
  • Current Senior First Aid Certificate required
  • Essential certifications in Responsible Service of Alcohol and Responsible Gambling
  • Significant managerial experience, particularly in the Casino or Security sector
  • Advanced Conflict Resolution and Incident Management skills

The ideal candidate will possess a solid understanding of Asset Protection principles and excellent communication abilities. Given The Star's adherence to various industry regulations, the preferred candidate will have experience in highly regulated environments and demonstrate a strong commitment to following protocols and procedures.

Our Background

The $3.6 billion Queen's Wharf Brisbane project is led by Destination Brisbane Consortium, in collaboration with The Star Entertainment Group and partners.

Upon completion, Queen's Wharf Brisbane will feature four luxury hotels, over 50 dining options, upscale retail outlets, the restoration of heritage structures, and approximately 1,500 residential units.
