About the Team and Role:

The Agri Asset Management Unit actively collaborates with our agricultural clients facing financial challenges to find viable solutions and enhance long-term relationships. We are committed to taking decisive actions when needed to protect the interests of our customers and shareholders.

Our main goals include offering every reasonable chance to help customers preserve their loans, equity, and assets, all while minimizing losses for both customers and the Bank.

The role of Manager Asset Management focuses on managing workout scenarios effectively, aiming for financially sound outcomes that mitigate risks for the Bank.

You will be responsible for handling a mix of complex and noncomplex cases directly.



Key responsibilities include:

- Early identification of problem loans and thorough information validation
- Impartial assessment of each case's facts
- Actively working towards customers' transition out of AMU through repatriation, repayment, or refinancing
- Fairly managing arrangements and timelines with customers
- Engaging in Farm Debt Mediation when necessary and pursuing legal action as required
- Providing superior customer service while ensuring compliance with laws and codes

Utilizing your Delegated Lending Authority to address financial stress signals in your portfolio and beyond.

This is a permanent position based in Brisbane, serving customers in Queensland and Northern NSW. Travel may be necessary, especially initially as you build connections.



To succeed in this role, you must:
- Have extensive knowledge and experience in the Agribusiness sector
- Possess in-depth Credit expertise with a focus on Agri credit
- Demonstrate proficiency in risk and compliance management and achieving related outcomes
- Maintain a structured approach in managing client groups within the Asset Management Unit
- Experience in Farm Debt Mediation or as a Rural Financial Counsellor is advantageous
- Exhibit strong written and verbal communication skills, fostering relationships and trust
- Hold relevant tertiary qualifications and certificates
- Possess excellent negotiation, influencing, and interpersonal skills
