This role will see the appointed candidate commence July 2024 through until June 2025 with possibility of contract extension depending on individual and business performance.


Your new responsibilities:
As an Asset Manager, you will undertake strategic planning activities for road infrastructure in the Brisbane Metropolitan region.

You will be responsible for implementing and maintaining effective asset management practices including:asset condition analysisasset lifecycle analysislevels of serviceeffective intervention treatments Your main responsibilities will involve, but will not be limited to: Developing a range of strategic, tactical, operational documents such as Asset Lifecycle Plans, Strategic Asset Management Plan (SAMPs) and Asset Management Plans (AMPs).

Providing expert advice, support and research on asset owner responsibilities for assets owned by the region.
Developing capital works programming for key asset groups.
Undertaking asset risk and criticality assessments.
Identifying and completing activities to achieve effective asset management outcomes.
Identifying and developing asset management practices and improvements to integrate appropriate asset management processes into operations.
Provide high level advice, research and analysis to ensure effective resolution of civil infrastructure issues.
Ensuring civil infrastructure assets are managed to minimise risk and improve asset utilisation.

What you will need to succeed: We strongly encourage your application should you have demonstrated the below skills and capabilities: Experience in infrastructure asset management, applying best practice asset management methodologies to work activities.

Strong investigative, analytical and research skills.
An understanding of Asset Management leading practices, frameworks and relevant standards.
Proven ability to plan and deliver a broad range of asset management services.
Strong written, verbal and interpersonal communication skills.
Commitment to providing quality outputs on time.
Ability to build strong relationships with stakeholders to ensure effective asset management service outcomes.

The following will be highly regarded, however, not essential: Bachelor qualification in a related area such as Engineering (Civil), Science, Business.

Qualification in Asset Management.
Qualification in Project Management.
