Alcohol and Other Drug &/or Mental Health Clinician(s)

Fixed Term to 30 June 2026

Part-time - Full time: FTE


We are seeking passionate and dedicated Alcohol and Other Drug &/or Mental Health Clinicians who are eager to make a difference and contribute to our growing team.


Working as part of a dynamic multidisciplinary and multiagency team, you will deliver integrated mental health (MH) and/or alcohol and other drugs (AOD) services.

This role is vital in providing clinical services including intake, assessment, treatment planning, therapeutic intervention, treatment coordination, case management, group work, and discharge planning to ensure improved mental health and reduced harm from alcohol or other drugs.


About the role:


We are seeking a skilled and compassionate Alcohol and Other Drug &/or Mental Health Clinician to join our dynamic team.

In this role, you will play a vital role in delivering high-quality, integrated care that addresses the complex needs of our clients, as part of the Step Thru Care Program.

Reporting to the Integrated AOD and Mental Health Clinical Lead, this fixed term, full time or part time opportunity will:

  • Achieve quality care and outcomes for clients by coordinating clientfocused treatment and services that is personalised, timely, and effective.
  • Conduct comprehensive assessments of clients with substance use and/or mental health issues.
  • Develop individualised treatment plans that address both substance use and/or mental health needs.
  • Provide evidencebased interventions and therapy to clients, both individually and in group settings.
  • Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team of healthcare professionals to ensure integrated care and coordination of services.

What you will bring to the team:

  • Tertiary degree qualification in Social Work, Psychology, Mental Health, Alcohol and other Drugs, Nursing, or other health related field and hold current registration with AHPRA, AASW and /or Mental Health accreditation.
  • Expertise in working with clients with mental health issues, AOD issues, complex needs and interacting with families and carers is desirable.
  • Capability to implement therapeutic, recoveryoriented frameworks and practices including risk mitigation, trauma informed care and family inclusive practice.
  • Excellent interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills.
