Be Recruitment as a Casual Disability Support Worker in the vibrant Bendigo region.
Responsibilities:
- Provide dedicated care and support to adults with intellectual disabilities and complex behavioural needs.
- Foster capacity building and empower participants to lead fulfilling lives.
- Implement individualised support plans, ensuring personalised care is delivered.
- Promote independence, inclusion, and social participation within the community.
- Maintain accurate documentation and progress reports.
Requirements:
- Demonstrated experience and understanding of intellectual disabilities and complex behavioural needs.
- Excellent interpersonal skills, with the ability to communicate effectively and build rapport.
- Empathy, patience, and a compassionate approach towards supporting individuals.
- Flexibility to work on a casual basis, including shifts on weekdays, weekends, and evenings.
- Excellent written and verbal communication.
- Australianissued driver's license.
- Unrestricted working rights
- Certificate III or above in Disability Support or a related field.
- Current First Aid and CPR certification.
- Working with Children Check.
- NDIS Worker Check.
- Willingness to undergo a National Criminal History Check.
- Evidence of vaccination or exemption from vaccination against COVID1
- Two professional references from a current and former supervisor.
