What You'll Do:
Billtrust's Legal Department is looking for a Senior Corporate Counsel to join our Commercial Legal Team.
You will be integral in providing legal support and advice to our fast growing B2 B Saa S business.
Draft and negotiate complex Software-as-a-Service (Saa S) technology and software licensing contracts and vendor contracts.
Help manage and mentor the Legal Department's team of contract specialists.

Work closely across multiple departments, providing professional legal and business guidance and advice to management and corporate teams on a variety of legal and regulatory matters across North America, the UK and Europe.

Provides advice and counsel to the company and senior management on complex technology transactions, product and software development, privacy laws and compliance regulations, employment related issues, litigation, intellectual property matters, and other legal matters.

Reporting to the Associate General Counsel, you will collaborate with the sales and business teams to help achieve the company's legal, compliance and commercial objectives.

What You'll Bring to the Team:10+ years of relevant legal experience at a large recognized law firm and/or in-house legal department and strong academic credentials.

Experience with complex technology/Saa S transactions and software/technology licensing, including drafting and negotiating complete agreements, and working collaboratively and proactively with sales and business development.

Ability to provide expert advice to the company and management on employment, legal, regulatory and risk matters in a business-centric and collaborative manner.

An exceptional communicator and confident negotiator with strong written and verbal communication skills and the ability to influence others and explain complex concepts to non-lawyer team members.

A keen attention to detail and organization with strategic thinking and creative problem-solving skills.

The ability to stay calm under pressure, work independently, and handle multiple assignments simultaneously in a fast-paced environment, while meeting time-sensitive deadlines.

A team-player with the ability to work collaboratively across various functions and with colleagues at all levels developing processes to solve problems and strengthen partnerships.

Experience in privacy laws and regulations, including CPRA and GDPR, is a plus, but not required.
