This is an outstanding opportunity for an experienced educator to lead a dedicated Junior School team. The successful applicant will have a sound knowledge of primary schooling and be at the forefront of modern pedagogy.

In addition, the person who fills this position will be recognised as an exemplary teaching practitioner and demonstrate excellence in their own classroom performance.

This Junior School role has the following significant responsibilities:

  • Staff leadership, management and care
  • Student leadership, management and care
  • Community relations
  • Curriculum support
  • General administration

Trinity College is a thriving multi-site, independent, co-educational Anglican College founded in a liberal educational tradition and located in the northern Adelaide region. Co-curricular activities (cultural and physical) are part of a total education in a caring, Christian environment.

To be successful in this role you will have the following skills and attributes:

  • Suitable tertiary qualifications.
  • Registered to teach in South Australia or be eligible to obtain registration.
  • Have an understanding of and commitment to Christian education.
  • Have the desire and skills to participate in the school's pastoral care programme.
  • Have the desire and skills to participate in the College's cocurricular programme.
  • Be passionate about understanding how learning occurs and teaching pedagogies suitable for junior school aged students.
  • Be able to build and lead a cohesive staff team with a common vision.
  • Have the interpersonal skills to quickly achieve trust and respect from the teaching team.
  • Be able to respond positively to the expectations of a modern school.
  • Be able to set high standards for student learning and teacher performance.
  • Be able to lead other staff in the use of appropriate information and communication tools in classroom pedagogy.
  • Have the ability to communicate effectively with a wide range of people both verbally and in writing.
  • Have the knowledge of and a commitment to the principles of equal opportunity and work safety.
