    Trinity is made of 6 schools and provides quality education to over 4,000 young people. The successful applicants may be placed at one of a number of our wonderful schools and is closely supported by our College Psychologist, Director of Student Care, Counselling and Support. Our Counsellors bring a sound knowledge of youth mental health and excellent skills to work across EY to Year 12.


Each of our well-resourced schools have a comprehensive pastoral care team and Student Counsellors work closely with Heads of School, Pastoral Care Leaders and Youth Worker at their school site.


Our Student Counsellors offer support to students, helping them understand and address social and emotional concerns that affect their learning.

Our counsellors embrace a collaborative approach to build understanding and connections with peers, staff, families and external supports.

To be successful in this role you will have the following skills and attributes:

  • Relevant tertiary qualifications and eligibility for registration as a Psychologist with APS and/or membership of PACFA, ACA or AASW
  • Excellent counselling knowledge and skills preferably minimum 2 years experience
  • Ability to relate and work with young children and adolescents
  • Ability to recognise, assess and respond to risk of harm
  • Knowledge of relevant support agencies
  • Clear and well established understanding of contemporary issues facing children and young adults
  • A strong commitment to Christian education
  • Excellent administration skills
  • Ability to communicate effectively with a wide range of people both verbally and in writing
  • Highly developed interpersonal skills and ethics to work respectfully across diversity
