About the role

We're seeking a Reporting Analyst to focus on Customer reporting and insights pertaining to Transurban's Operating Assets.

This includes the reporting of key metrics within the Customer Operations team including; Dashboards, Benchmarking Reports, Commercial Accounts, Billing, Credit & Enforcement and Product & Channels.

You'll join an innovative team who work collaboratively to solve business problems using data-driven insights.


As our Reporting Analyst, you'll contribute to lasting and positive changes that shape the future of our cities and communities.

Day-to-day, you will:

  • Work closely with the Data Engineer and Data team to understand which datasets and transformations are required for reports
  • Develop and test reporting solutions developed to ensure reports built are fit for purpose and data is accurate. Responsible for accuracy and completeness as well as closure of reporting periods.
  • Produce reports in a timely manner to meet the needs of the various business units in line with reporting best practices
  • Report on key Customer related metrics; including NPS, Grade of Service, Gross NAT, Net NAT, Customer Complaints etc
  • Take a national view on all Customer Operations metrics; analyse and comment on trends to support Customer Operations benchmarking
  • Design and develop reports/dashboards and customer insights to support Customer future state objectives and demonstrate the impacts of new data driven strategies
  • Identify process improvements opportunities from data sourcing, ingestion, modelling, reporting, testing and deploying aspects
This role will suit someone with a curious mind and transferrable skills and experiences, including:

  • Tertiary qualifications in a relevant technical field
  • Extensive experience in the reporting of data and development of new reporting practices
  • Welldeveloped understanding of data and data structures, including ability to interrogate data.
  • Experience in manipulating and analysing complex, highvolume, highdimensionality data from varying sources
  • Familiarity with relational databases, SQL, ETL tools, Tableau and/or Yellowfin (desirable)
  • Ability to communicate complex quantitative analysis in a clear, precise, and actionable manner
  • Strong interpersonal, oral and written communication and presentation skills
  • High degree of presentation skills and capability in preparation of regular reporting material
