Be challenged and imagine with us:

As the Student Recruitment and Engagement Coordinator, you will be responsible for working with key contacts in secondary schools to provide presentations to high school students, as well as provide an on-campus experiences for high school leavers.

Your primary focus is to build and develop relationships to bring prospective students to the University of Newcastle.

In this role you will:

  • Manage and build a network of external relationships with school communities and other providers, such as TAFE and career network groups.
  • Contribute to the development of marketing activities including collateral, online, and social media content.
  • This continuing position is full time and will be located at the Callaghan Campus (Awabakal and Worimi land)._

  • Outstanding communication and interpersonal skills, including the ability to build beneficial relationships with stakeholders.
  • Relevant experience coordinating, executing, and delivering engaging presentations, activities, and events.
  • Highly developed organisational skills, with the ability to prioritise and manage multiple competing deadlines.

What we offer:

The remuneration for this position is from $82, % superannuation and is commensurate with skills and experience.

  • Completion of a relevant degree with subsequent relevant experience coordinating student recruitment and engagement activities and events; or extensive experience and specialist expertise within the higher education sector or similar large, complex organisation; or an equivalent combination of relevant experience and/or education/training.
  • Outstanding interpersonal skills including the capacity to build relationships with both internal and external stakeholders and collaborate within and across teams.
  • Demonstrated experience planning, coordinating and successfully implementing student recruitment events and activities.
  • Outstanding communication skills, including demonstrated ability to present project outcomes, provide advice to a diverse group of stakeholders, and deliver engaging presentations.
  • Outstanding organisational skills to prioritise and manage multiple deadlines.
