We are partnering with an outstanding school in Newcastle, NSW, to find their new Director - Learning Support for K-12.

Role and Responsibilities:

  • Support and uphold the school's mission and ethos
  • Manage time-sensitive projects with confidentiality and efficiency
  • Provide strategic leadership for Learning Support staff and programs
  • Participate in Individual Plan (IP) processes
  • Collaborate with a team to support students accessing Learning Support programs and services
  • Partner with key stakeholders to ensure engagement and mutual benefit from department programs and services

Qualifications and Experience needed:

  • Current Working with Children Check
  • NESA accreditation
  • Ability to tailor educational experiences to individual student needs
  • Proven collaborative skills with staff, students, and parents/caregivers
  • Proficiency in emerging technologies and the ability to introduce and integrate them to enhance learning for peers and students
  • Strong organizational and motivational management skills to lead and mentor your team, manage budgets, meet deadlines, and communicate effectively
  • Minimum of two references from recent employers
  • Full working rights in Australia
