The Specialised Finance team is part of NAB's Corporate & Institutional Banking Business.

The Specialised Finance team is responsible for origination activity and supplies a range of financial solutions in large scale, complex transactions.


The Associate Director opportunity will see you collaborating with the Executive of Specialised Finance on business strategy and client insights.

This will include working with a broad range of product specialists such Markets, Coverage and Portfolio, Distribution and Corporate Services and credit/ risk colleagues.

As our Associate Director you will be responsible for the following key areas:

  • Work closely with the Executive, Specialised Finance on strategy development, strategic problem solving activities, presentation creation and writing
  • Research, creation and delivery of key content for presentations
  • Delivery of highquality strategic insights and activities
  • SF account planning and dashboard management
  • Proactive risk management to meet all policy and compliance requirements; perform controls; adhere to Process and Procedures pertinent to role; and escalate events, issues or breaches as they are identified
  • Raising and enhancing the profile of NAB in the marketplace
  • Decision making on transactions, supported by sound reasoning and in line with Delegated Credit Authority

You'll have instant impact by leveraging from the following skills and experience:

  • Strong problem-solving skills, excel and PowerPoint skills
  • Ability to work collaboratively with different stakeholders to deliver on strategic initiatives
  • Proven experience of being an effective team player and helping to build a strong excellence culture
  • Demonstrating deep understanding of institutional banking, general accounting principles, project and structured financing
  • Demonstrating strong risk culture and outcomes
  • Research, writing and presentation delivery experience
  • Strategy development experience
  • EU&I experience is not essential, but highly regarded
  • Sustainability / ESG related experience is not essential, but highly regarded.
