  • About the role
  • The Associate Director, Finance reports directly to the CEO and is a member of the RMIT Training Leadership Team. The role supports the strategic direction of RMIT Training by developing and managing budgeting, forecasting, management reporting and analysis, and brings a solutionfocused approach to commercial activity. This is performed in partnership with the Leadership Team and functional leaders to deliver on financial business reporting and performance, strategy, and planning.
  • About You
  • To be successful in this position you will have:
  • Essential
  • Relevant tertiary and/or postgraduate qualification and CA/CPA qualified
  • Proven experience in a senior leadership and financial management role working in complex organisations coupled with resilience, strong selfawareness and the ability to balance competing demands in a highly changeable environment
  • Demonstrated ability to operate as part of an executive management team and provide high quality input into corporate management and decision making
  • Advanced problem solving and analytical skills, including the ability to interpret, model, analyse and present financial information to facilitate understanding of options to resolve complex commercial problems and take advantage of commercial opportunities
  • People leadership and management experience, including the ability to effectively coach, mentor and motivate employees
  • Excellent communication (written and verbal) and interpersonal skills, with the ability to maintain effective working relationships with a variety of stakeholders at all organisational levels
  • Demonstrated commitment to continuous improvement and best practice principles
  • Demonstrated integrity, honesty, and ability to maintain confidentiality at all times
  • Ability to develop rapport, influence and effectively collaborate with proven ability to analyse and interpret a wide range of financial information to make rational decisions and make/develop recommendations to stakeholder at all levels
  • Desirable
  • Experience with financial reporting in Workday and Adaptive Planning
  • Experience with Power BI
