The Role:

Exciting opportunities are available for responsible and mature individuals to join the Emergency Services Clerical team at Northern Health. The role involves working across various departments such as the Emergency Department, Short Stay Unit, Victorian Virtual Emergency Department, and Chest Pain Evaluation Unit. Although most shifts are in the VVED due to current growth, there is the possibility of permanent part-time hours in the future.

The positions are for 12-month fixed-term contracts. We are seeking staff who can work in a 24/7 department, covering day shifts, afternoon shifts, and overnight shifts. Applicants must have flexibility to cover planned and unplanned leave at short notice.

To be successful in this role you must have:

  • Availability for a two-week recurring roster with a minimum of three shifts per week
  • COVID vaccination (including booster) and Influenza vaccination
  • Proficiency in the Microsoft suite of software or similar
  • Proven excellence in customer service

Desired skillset includes:

  • Previous experience in an Emergency Department or Healthcare setting
  • Experience in greeting patients and stakeholders in person and by phone
  • Exceptional customer service and ability to work under pressure
  • Knowledge of iPM, CPF, CERNER software, or similar
  • Ability to multitask and prioritize effectively
