Join ING Australia as a Senior Credit Risk Analytics Manager. In this role, you will perform detailed data analysis on credit and financial performance across various segments of the mortgage portfolio, identifying growth opportunities to enhance customer and business outcomes. You will lead strategic initiatives to drive sustainable growth and optimization for ING Australia. This position requires advanced analytical skills, a profound understanding of credit risk management, and the ability to collaborate efficiently with cross-functional teams. You will tackle a diverse range of challenges using data-driven insights and will have the freedom to innovate solutions. Take ownership of your work by crafting proposals, engaging stakeholders, and obtaining approval from senior management.

What You'll Do

  • Collaborate with the Senior Credit Policy Manager to prepare detailed credit proposals and deliver findings to internal stakeholders and credit committees.
  • Work closely with distribution teams to identify client needs, assess potential risks, and structure suitable credit solutions.
  • Regularly assess the mortgage credit portfolio, identifying emerging risks and proposing proactive measures to mitigate potential losses.
  • Stay informed about industry trends, regulatory updates, and market shifts to enhance credit risk evaluations and improve risk management strategies.

What We're Looking For

  • Extensive credit knowledge and 5+ years of experience in credit analysis within the financial sector, focusing on commercial or corporate lending.
  • Strong grasp of financial statements, credit metrics, and risk assessment methodologies.
  • Proficiency in financial modeling and analysis, with advanced Excel proficiency.
  • Outstanding communication and presentation skills, capable of conveying complex concepts clearly and effectively.
  • Detail-oriented approach, coupled with robust analytical and problems-solving capabilities.
  • Ability to excel in a fast-paced environment, effectively managing multiple priorities.
