The Risk and Compliance (R&C) function has responsibility for the enabling the Group to manage the risks associated with their respective area of focus in, line with the Group's risk appetite.

In that support, the R&C function will enable the success of the business by instilling a culture of risk management as a core part of how we support our customers and ensure that we have the appropriate processes and practices to meet our compliance obligations.

Ultimately its success will be in delivering a risk practice that is embedded into how we engage with our customers.

About the role


As Credit Risk Insights Manager and reporting to the Senior Manager, Credit Risk Insights and Credit Compliance, your focus is to produce risk insights and analysis for Business and Agribusiness Banking.


Key accountabilities include:

Working closely with second line risk and the broader Business and Agribusiness team in the delivery of business insights and intelligence
Providing the Head of Risk with empirical risk data, critical analysis and written advice to support the optimisation of customer and shareholder outcomes
Developing practical artefacts and frameworks to better manage and mitigate material risk
Providing written and verbal insights to divisional and Group risk committees
Working with key stakeholders including Business and Agribusiness Risk, Credit Risk Management, Credit Risk Reporting, Business Performance Reporting and Business Heads and other distribution leaders

About you

To be successful you will have

Tertiary qualifications in Business, Finance, Economics encompassing quantitative elements
Demonstrated experience and understanding of banking and credit processes and modelling with insights into business banking lending and products preferred
Excellent analytical, financial modelling and research skills with the ability provide written and verbal insights and intelligence
Strong communication skills with the ability to work with a range of stakeholders
Proactive, adaptable and flexible disposition with a strong to desire to learn
Knowledge of SAS, SQL and other analysis tools is highly desirable
Strong organisational skills with the ability to prioritise and meet deadlines
