About the Role

The program will involve the business streams across seven countries, so they recognise the importance of producing high quality communication which engages and inspires.

The marketplace Unification has been in place since 2021 and there is strong awareness across the organisation for the program, they are now looking for a capable, collaborative and delivery-oriented communications expert to develop and deliver the program communications plans in line with our established approaches and communications channels.

This role delivers on the Marketplace Unification narrative and communications plan, aligning key messages and communications activities at a organisation-wide level.

These communication activities set the scene for Marketplace Unification and highlight the significant milestones and achievements which this role helps to celebrate and acknowledge.

About You

To be successful in this role you will have an interest and curiosity to understand the business and in particular the Marketplace Unification program.

You will have a deep understanding of the role internal communication plays in enhancing employee engagement and change management associated with complex projects across multiple geographies.

Your strong stakeholder management skills will mean you are as comfortable liaising with technical product specialists as you are with senior business leaders to deepen your understanding of organisational messages and department strategies, objectives, and be able to translate technical jargon into something that's clearer for our broader population.

Your core responsibilities will include:

  • Update and execute the overarching Marketplace Unification communications plan, working to position the narrative and key messages clearly to engage the wider organisation in line with the Unification communications and engagement approach.
  • Develop a variety of content for existing internal communication channels and work closely with the Program of Work (PoW) Communication and Change Leads to gather updates.

This includes but is not limited to:
fortnightly program wide updates, ad hoc messages from senior leaders, digital and video content, company-wide forum presentations (townhalls, domain updates, ANZ external forums, ad hoc other business presentations),

  • Support the Marketplace Unification People team with checkin survey execution and communications. Implement metrics to monitor performance of Unification internal communications and report and advise on the evolution of internal communications accordingly.
  • Work with the Corporate Communications team to align messaging and leverage opportunities to repurpose and maximise content where appropriate.
  • Assist in the planning and delivery of Marketplace Unification celebration events across APAC.
  • Capture the latest activities in written fortnightly updates and on an ongoing basis.
  • Ensure regular and relevant communications on the companies social communication channel, Slack. This role will post content on the channel as well as host coordination sessions with the communications working group to ensure timely and relevant posts (e.g., celebrating major milestones).

Essential skills and Experiences:

  • Proven record of running successful internal communications programs across complex business environments, specifically in technology teams or transformation environments.
  • Ability to relate well to others and build relationships with people from different backgrounds, as well as being flexible and adaptable, and highly resilient, with the ability to work in ambiguous situations.
  • Demonstrated time management and multitasking skills, where you can deliver to tight deadlines while managing conflicting priorities.
  • An excellent writer and storyteller with a passion for creating engaging content which reflects the culture of the business.
  • Strong commercial judgement and ability to think critically.
  • Exceptional attention to detail.
