The Opportunity:

  • Lithgow City Council_ has an opportunity for an enthusiastic
    HR Water Cart Operator with a "can do" attitude to join their Rural Works team.


This position is responsible for the operation and maintenance of the water truck, cleaning of roads, gutters and sumps and providing water to road construction and maintenance areas.

The role of the HR Water Cart Operator also includes delivering water supplies to residents and businesses where required.


As an HR Water Cart Operator, your truck driving skills will be used across a wide variety of functions, including the operation of other plant and equipment and training less experienced drivers to assist in multi-skilling staff.

Your tasks will be spread broadly across a large local government area, making no two jobs the same.

About you:

  • Hold a current HR Licence
  • Experience in the use of watering apparatus
  • WH&S Induction for Construction Work (Whitecard)
  • Maintenance/construction experience
  • Demonstrated commitment to the principles of integrity and honesty
  • Demonstrated commitment to and understanding of Work Health and Safety
  • Traffic Controller ticket (Blue card)
  • First Aid certificate
  • Additional plant tickets

  • Between $1,023.05 and $1,131.10 per week, commensurate with your skills, qualifications and experience
  • Permanent Fulltime, 38 hours per week
