Rollingstock Maintainer

Zig Zag Railway (ZZR) is a well known and much loved tourist railway located near the town of Lithgow in NSW (approximately 90 minutes from western Sydney). We are about to reopen operations, and are seeking a Rollingstock Maintainer to join our small team.

**About the job**:
The Rollingstock Maintainer is responsible for undertaking the maintenance, repair and heavy overhaul of Zig Zag Railway’s rollingstock. The role works within systems associated with defect reporting, execution of repairs and ongoing quality assurance of works. The role works to a schedule of rollingstock works including undertaking various inspections, works and inventory in accordance with the schedule. The role also undertakes break / fix maintenance and activities as required.

**About the person**:
We’re looking for someone with a mechanical trades qualification required, Cert III and above (fitter, metal fabrication, mechanic or similar). You’ll have previous work experience in a mechanical environment, involving preventative maintenance and break-fix repairs of complex componentry / machinery.

Importantly, we are looking for someone who is a great team player, is a good problem solver and who has great attention to detail. You’ll need to be physically fit, and be able to obtain Working with Children and National Police checks.
