The Role:
This role will see you Manage the Projects teams working across projects for installations across sporting venues, theatres/performing arts centre's, schools, public precincts/conference centres, corporate facilities, parliaments, TV studios and councils
You will assist to establish the Project Delivery Division's business plans and strategic direction; and drive Division staff across project and resource planning, performance and delivery to ensure project outcomes are achieved relating to engineering outcomes, financial objectives, quality and client expectations

Your main duties will involve:
  • Working collaboratively with other members of the management team to achieve strong results across all activities.
  • Monitoring and reporting on progress against plans, including tracking of margins and communicating plans and progress to the wider team.
  • Develop, implement and monitor plans with the management team for improving group capacity and engagement.
  • Reviewing and endorsement of documents tabled at meetings and providing feedback Manage a portfolio of complex initiatives that span one or multiple lines of business.
  • End to end management of the Project Delivery Division operations, including full project life cycle ownership: successful project delivery will include full implementation from initiation to deployment for one major or numerous initiatives simultaneously.
  • Managing all aspects of multiple related projects to ensure the overall program and installation is aligned to and directly supports the scope of works and is managed in a professional manner and in accordance with the delivery schedule and budget requirements.
  • Assisting project managers to prepare detailed project plans for all phases of a project.
  • Provide on-site leadership across the various project teams by building motivated team members to meet project goals, adhering to their responsibilities and project milestones.
  • Coach, mentor, motivate and supervise project managers and their project teams.
  • Be responsible for staffing (including contractors), procuring adequate resources to achieve project objectives associated with projects.
  • Analysis of budgets and monthly reporting to the management team.
  • Continually monitor operational cost versus budgets to ensure that projects and programs are proceeding according to scope, schedule, budget and quality standards.
  • Management of contractors (including working with human resources re-contract negotiations).
  • Driving process improvement in streamlining the operations process.
  • Assist Project Managers in dispute, negotiation, arbitration as needed.
  • Work diligently with the Manufacturing, Procurement and Sales teams so they are able to facilitate timely execution of projects

Skills and Requirements:
To be successful in obtaining this role you will have the following:

  • Full Australian Working rights
  • Construction White Card
Your Experience will include:
  • Tertiary qualification in Business or project management.
  • Minimum five (5) years proven project/contact management experience
  • Proven ability to demonstrate a drive for results and accountability of business needs.
  • Strong leadership, diplomatic and motivational skills including the ability to lead up, across and down multiple business streams.
  • Demonstrate decisiveness in resolving business/project problems, making decisions and identifying priorities.
  • Interpersonal skills to influence and spur change, facilitate and enhance performance within a cross functional environment.
  • Experience in successfully leading projects and programs on time, on schedule and within budget.
  • Experience leading, motivating and managing various project team sizes, including internal and external resources, while holding project managers accountable for performance.
  • Strong experience presenting to external building stakeholders and demonstrated communication skills, both written and verbal with technical and non-technical staff, and all levels of management.
  • Extensive understanding of project and program management principles, methods and techniques.
  • Experience in the installation and commissioning of theatre equipment including tracking systems, drapes, hoists, lighting bars and associated electronic controls.
  • Experience managing a portfolio of projects holding a budget of minimum $10m concurrently.
