About the role

We're on the lookout for an Operations Assistant to join our team on a 12-month fixed term contract at our Marong site. This position involves offering general administrative support to the Regional Operations Manager, Area Managers, HR Business Partner, and the wider Victoria Country Operations team.

In this role, you will collaborate with internal and external partners to:

  • Maintain and oversee systems that aid operations, such as purchasing, learning, and finance
  • Assist with our safety management systems, policies, and procedures
  • Deliver professional and prompt customer service to current and potential internal, external, and corporate clients
  • Disseminate crucial regional operations information to internal and external parties
  • Handle administrative project tasks as needed
  • Serve as a Kronos super user - our time and attendance system; offer advanced support to operations leaders
  • Organize regional training sessions for employees

About your experience
The perfect candidate holds a vocational or tertiary qualification in any field, has experience in an administrative support role within a relevant industry (such as logistics/supply chain, agriculture, or similar), and is eager to learn and face challenges.

You should also possess:

  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, and the ability to create professional documents (MS Office)
  • Intermediate MS Excel skills; desirable if experienced in finance, procurement, and/or people systems
  • Keen eye for detail and timely task completion; takes a proactive approach to work
  • Optimistic attitude and adept at working with various stakeholders and conflicting priorities
  • Advantageous: basic grasp of payroll, return-to-work coordination, safety, health, and environmental matters
  • Team player mindset as this position will collaborate closely with our operations team and other Admin Assistants at different sites like Tamworth, Wagga, and Toowoomba
