In this role:


As an Insurance consultant, you will provide a high level of service to our members through handling inbound and outbound calls.

You will convert insurance quotes into new business, reduce cancellations and cross sell other products and services.

Please note, this is a 12-month fixed term contract.

Other key responsibilities:

  • Provide assistance to the Service & Sales team by servicing members/nonmembers via inbound and outbound channels
  • Review member transactions while on call to look for opportunities to cross sell other products and services
  • Maintain up to date knowledge of all products and services (particularly general insurance products)
  • Be prepared to work in BankVic branches if required

To be successful in this role, you will have:

  • Good knowledge of the financial services regulatory framework, including AFSL and ACL obligations and Privacy legislations
  • Strong sales skills and experience
  • Knowledge and understanding of customer service techniques
  • Ability to effectively handle difficult customers and scenarios.
This role requires someone who has strong customer focus, business acumen and interpersonal skills. You are a self-motivator and a quick learner who strives to achieve and drive for results.
