The Department of Communities and Justice (DCJ) was formed in 2019 with the merger of two former departments Family and Community Services (FACS) and Justice.

Role Responsibilities


The Housing Assistant and Business Support Assistant position is an entry level position where you will directly support client service delivery.

The primary purpose of this role is to provide support through administrative and client service functions.


Your day may be busy undertaking a variety of administrative functions to support client service delivery, responding to over the counter and telephone enquiries, providing information to clients as well as referring client enquiries and information onto client service staff.

  • Are passionate about delivering great customer service

  • Have a great team focused attitude but also the confidence and initiative to work on your own
  • Have excellent time management and multitasking skills
  • Have a close attention to detail and pride yourself on the accuracy of your work.
  • This recruitment aims to fill several positions in Western Sydney & Southwestern Sydney locations, as they arise in accordance with the Government Sector Employment Act 2013._
