About the role
Due to an internal promotion we are looking for a Bars Manager to oversee The Douglas Club and elevate our beverage program across the hotel to new heights. If you’re a seasoned professional with a flair for delivering excellence in style, this is your chance to make a real impact. What will I be doing?
Be operationally hands on and lead by example. You will be expected to create and serve a wide range of beverages including classic cocktails, mixers, beer, wine and non-alcoholic beverages. Foster a strong team culture and develop your staff into a high-performing unit. Partner closely with the Food & Beverage Manager to ensure seamless coordination across all F&B outlets. Drive creativity in menu and cocktail development, keeping our offerings fresh and exciting. Be keen to take charge of your financials with confidence and precision. Oversee beverage inventory, including stocktake, procurement, and ordering with accuracy. Most importantly, always maintain a customer-first approach, ensuring every guest experience is exceptional.What are we looking for?
At least 1 year of supervisory experience in a top-tier bar environment. A solid foundation in both classic and contemporary cocktails, spirits, and wines, coupled with a passion for continually expanding their skills. Someone who is driven to grow their hospitality career by seizing learning opportunities that prepare you for future success. A genuine love for hospitality and a commitment to delivering exceptional guest experiences. Strong financial acumen with the ability to effectively manage labour costs. A strong desire to create an outstanding working environment that empowers your team. Demonstrated ability to resolve issues and handle conflicts with ease Thrive in fast-paced environments, maintaining efficiency and composure.
