Your new role
Working under limited direction with a degree of autonomy and reporting to the Manager, Operational Finance, the Management Accountant is responsible for delivering high-quality management accounting, reporting and analysis to multiple stakeholders across the organisation. These services include the provision of specialist financial business planning, modelling, reporting, analysis and advice to guide the successful delivery of the business and to support investment decision-making. Key responsibilities include: Assist in the accurate and timely financial reporting requirements and provide driver-based analysis and commentary Support the design and development of management reports and processes to enable detailed analysis of actuals against budget and forecast; this includes commitment to reporting against key performance drivers Assist the monitoring of financial results and identify potential financial risks and opportunities Provide stakeholders with timely, insightful and forward-looking advice to management to enable informed decision-making Develop financial models to support cost-benefit scenarios Support the delivery of end of month and year-end requirements and GL reconciliationsEnsure the ongoing effective maintenance, integrity and accuracy of accounting records
What you'll need to succeed An accounting degree with subsequent relevant experience or an equivalent combination of experience and/or education/training Demonstrated experience working in an accounting position that required the development of forecasts, budgets and financial plans within a complex environment. Experience in the management of finance projects involving multiple stakeholders Strong analytical skills and demonstrated experience in the collection, manipulation, analysis and reporting of data Demonstrated knowledge of experience in applying financial and accrual accounting standards Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, including professional report compilation skills Experience of using a large ERP system with advanced skills at Microsoft excels.
