The Opportunity We are currently looking for a Network Operations Analyst to perform critical data analysis of all operational data for Arc’s key customers operating on our rail network. Schedule and optimise access to the Arc network for customers, above rail operators and Arc teams within a defined region on a daily basis to maximise the throughput of tonnages on the Arc Infrastructure network.   The Role

As the Network Operations Analyst, you will be responsible for, daily reporting and tracking of train services through various systems and databases for services on the Arc network. This information aids the reviewing and collating of data to support Arc operations in identifying efficiencies and shortfalls in network performance and reliability. Track and examine services that operate on the network to ensure loading profiles and rollingstock that operates on the network, operates within the approved parameters. You will be the key point of contact back to the operators on any abnormalities that are identified.

The key duties will be:

  • Collecting and analysing data to develop and produce daily, weekly, monthly reports on network reliability and performance;
  • Perform analytics on operational data to develop reporting functions for individual train  types.
  • Collect and analyse data to develop and produce reports on Operational Impact of speed restrictions by line  segment.
  • Development and preparation of operational reports to support forecasted reporting on network and any performance  variances.
  • Develop and maintain a suite of reports for Operators, Customers and Arc, including utilisation & KPIs to drive efficiencies in planning and service  delivery.
  • Support processing and optimising the train scheduling requirements of above rail  operators.
  About You

To be successful in this role you will need:

  • Have experience in logistics planning preferably in a Rail Environment
  • Excellent communication and Customer Management
  • Problem solving, troubleshooting and consultative skills
  • Strong analytical and reporting skills
  • Sound knowledge of Microsoft applications particularly Excel
  • Power BI experience is desirable
