About the role

The Credit Lead is responsible for the effective and timely management of all aspects of credit risk and accounts receivable processing and billings for Pacific National. 

Key responsibilities include:

  • Manage and lead the full end to end Billings, Accounts Receivable and Credit functions
  • Ensure that billings are processed accurately, completely, and as per agreed timeframes, including the review and analysis of billing data prior to being invoiced
  • Provide hands on guidance for all credit risk and collections related activities
  • Proactively manage billings discrepancies and timely processing of adjustment requests
  • Ensure the delivery of all reporting is delivered accurately and on time
  • Oversee the management of internal and external queries
  • Ensure that all reconciliations are accurately completed in a timely manner
  • Oversee end of month processing
  • Drive accountability and strong performance within the team
  • Support project related activities

About you

This role will suit a strong people leader with the ability to coach, mentor and develop a team of hardworking individuals. To be successful in this role the successful candidate must be accustomed to operating in a complex billing and credit risk management environment of a similar scale.

The ideal candidate will also possess the following skills, experience and attributes:

  • Tertiary qualifications in Business/Accounting
  • Strong knowledge and experience with high volume transaction processing, management of credit risk and billings in a commercially complex environment
  • Intermediate to advanced Excel skills with the ability to deal with vast amounts of data
  • Proven ability to quickly learn new systems and processes as this role is hands on during periods of peak processing
  • Prior experience using Peoplesoft is highly regarded
  • Able to demonstrate reconciliations experience
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to build strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders
  • Proven analytical and problem-solving skills
  • High attention to detail with a results-oriented focus
  • Background in transport, logistics, heavy industry, or other related industries will be highly regarded
