About the Position

Brine Street Child Care Centre is excited to announce a rare opportunity to join the team at Brine Street team in Hughesdale. Brine Street is the only Council owned and managed Child Care Centre within the City of Monash. We are a centre committed to excellence and have been rated under the National Quality Standards (NQS) as exceeding the National Quality Standards.

We are seeking a Kindergarten Teacher to work fulltime (38 hr/wk) within our Long Day Care setting

Skills and Experience

At least one year of work experience as an Early Childhood Teacher (preferred) Strong understanding of the Victorian Early Years Learning & Development Framework (VEYLDF), National Quality Standard (NQS) and National Quality Framework (NQF) Excellent verbal and written communication skills A commitment to using a strength-based, family centred approach to deliver an education and care program appropriate to the individual needs of children and families Demonstrated ability to effectively lead and motivate staff and to work as part of a team Demonstrated ability to plan, implement and evaluate high quality, flexible and innovative educational program for all children aged four to six years old Capacity to provide a safe, sustainable and attractive environment for children

Requirements

Employee Working with Children’s Check  Satisfactory National Police Check At least a Bachelor of Early Childhood Education or equivalent Current VIT registration Current First Aid Certificates for an early years education and care setting
